High School Conference

Thank You to all the participants and volunteers that made this years Highschool Conference a huge success!

What is High school Conference?

Each February, over 150 high school students from across Texas gather at Texas A&M University for a two-day glimpse of opportunities in engineering and the Dwight Look College of Engineering. The conference is open to female and male high school students.

On Friday, the first day of the conference, high school students attend engineering classes with current engineering students, tour the campus, and meet engineering department representatives. At night, students are invited to dine at the scholarship banquet and hear from engineering faculty and corporate speakers.

The following day, students choose 2-3 lab tours offered by different engineering departments. In addition, the engineering design contest is held to introduce students to the principles of team work and engineering problem solving.  This conference serves as an excellent program to discover what opportunities are available in engineering at Texas A&M University.  We hope to see you there!
